Terms & Conditions

1. Legal Compliance:

In line with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, all animals must have prior veterinary approval before their initial appointment. If a new condition arises while undergoing therapy for an existing condition or during a fitness session, additional veterinary consent may be required before continuing treatment.

Failure to provide appropriate veterinary consent at the time of the appointment will result in the session not proceeding. Please refer to the 'Veterinary Referral Form' linked below for more information.

By accessing and using the services of ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. Utilizing these services also implies acceptance of any applicable guidelines or rules established during the service process.

2. Animal Preparation and Responsibilities:

a. Horses should be brought in from pasture ahead of their appointment, cleaned, and dried. Ideally, they should be on hardstanding as damp coats can compromise the effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
b. Each animal is treated with respect and patience, which may require time for the animal to settle before initiating hands-on assessments during the initial session.
c. Animals showing signs of illness, such as coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, or infestations like fleas or lice, will not be treated. Appointments under these circumstances may still incur a charge.
d. It is the owner’s duty to inform ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training if the veterinary surgeon advises stopping or pausing treatment.
e. While every effort is made to provide safe and effective treatment, all sessions are conducted at the owner’s risk. The owner is fully responsible for their animal’s behavior and any incidents arising from its actions.
f. We understand that farms and yards can be busy environments; however, it is essential to minimize noise and external stimuli to allow the horse to relax and focus on treatment. Any disturbances that may lead to harm to the practitioner, the horse, or the facilities will not be tolerated, and treatment may be stopped at the discretion of ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training.
g. Abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior directed at the practitioner or the horse will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If such incidents occur, the service will be stopped immediately, and charges for the appointment will still apply.

3. Treatment Hours:

Treatment hours are determined based on case volume and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Initial consultations typically require up to 120 minutes, while routine treatments, as well as pre- or post-competition sessions, generally last up to 1 hour. However, the duration of each session is at the discretion of the practitioner and may vary depending on specific circumstances. Sessions should not exceed the specified time limits unless agreed upon in advance.

4. Client Confidentiality.

The relationship between the Equine manual specialist and client is built on trust. Information about a client or their animal will not be disclosed to third parties without explicit or implied consent.

5. Ownership of Records:

ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training retains ownership of all clinical records. Relevant records may be shared with veterinary surgeons or other professionals managing the case, but only upon client request or consent.

6. Payment Terms and Fees:

a. Payment is required via cash or bank transfer (BACS) at the time of treatment. Card payments and cheques are not accepted.
b. Unpaid accounts may be pursued through any lawful means, including debt collection services or civil proceedings. Any associated costs will be passed on to the client.
c. Non-compliance with payment terms may result in suspension of services.
d. For insurance claims, clients are reminded that the agreement is between the client and the insurance provider. Payments are required at the time of treatment, with no exceptions for pending insurance reimbursements.
e. Additional travel costs outside a 15-mile radius of Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 apply. The fee of £1.00 (one pound) per additional mile, calculated as a round trip, will be included in the bill and be disclosed prior to booking.

7. Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows will incur the full session fee.

8. Photos and Case Records:

Photographs and videos may be taken during treatment sessions for monitoring progress. These images may occasionally be shared on ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training’s social media platforms. If you prefer not to have such images shared, please notify us in advance.

9. Insurance:

Many insurance providers cover Equine Sports Massage and other complementary treatmets costs. Clients are encouraged to verify their policy before scheduling an appointment. Please note that payment terms apply regardless of insurance coverage, as the agreement remains between the client and the insurer.

10. Appointments:

While ARG Equine Equine Therapies and Training strives to be punctual for all appointments, unforeseen delays may occasionally occur. In such instances, the owner will be promptly informed, and rescheduling will be arranged if necessary.
